Levain Bakery?

sylviag Jul 19, 2007 01:47 PM

Thanks to whomever wrote the post about the great scones at Levain Bakery.
We will be in that neighborhood again this weekend.
Anything else at that bakery that I should stock up on?

The scones beat the cookies, but then again, I am scone lover. I always mention the scones and never the cookies in my posts about this place. Hard to get those scones for a reason...

They make the most amazing giant cookies-I have to stay away from there otherwise I would blow up! Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelish!!!

The chocolate cookie with peanut butter chips is to die for. It's by far my favorite thing to get at Levain.

All of them are amazing but if I had to pick a fave it would be the oatmeal followed closely by the choc chip...they are huge so well worth the outlay.

W 73rd, between columbus and CPW, closer to Columbus.

No, it's W 74th, right off of Amsterdam.

I've been meaning to try their scones, they're usually out by the time I get to go there. I like the oatmeal raisin cookies the most, plus the raisin nut bread (lots of nuts).

I wrote a recent post on eating in the UWS near W.70th and how the cookies at Levain are the best in NYC...:) Is that what you meant? Or did you eat scones instead? They are known for their amazing cookies...and you can get 'em mail order now too!

Yours must have been the post that I read. I do love scones, so that caught my eye.
                  Which cookies are your favorite?

They also have really good brioche; I stock up on those when I'm there.
