Lunch in Santa Rosa area?

My wife and I have an appointment in Santa Rosa tomorrow morning and are looking for a fun lunch place to go thereafter. We're travelling back via Highway 12 (Valley of the Moon). So, anyplace in Santa Rosa or Valley of the Moon would be great.

We're looking for delicious and fun -- any ethnicity or style or price point would be fine.

Thanks for your advice.

You might consider Flavor, located downtown Santa Rosa (courthouse square)

I will second this suggestion - order the gnocchi!

I haven't been but Tex Wasabi is the restaurant owned by Guy Fieri, Food Network.

There is also Osake Sushi in Santa Rosa, or Jhanthong Banbua for Thai food.

Also owned by the Food Network's Guy Fieri is Johnny Garlics which is on Farmer's Lane at Hwy. 12. It's good, but not great, but fun. I haven't been there yet, but have heard great things about Bruno's on Fourth, which is at 1226, I think, Fourth Street, which puts it near the intersection of Farmer's Lane and Hwy. 12. Sea Thai Food, just opened up in Montgomery Village, but don't think they are open for lunch. For a quick casual lunch try Michelle Marie's in Montgomery Village too, good salads and soups and baked goodies. Enjoy your visit to Sonoma County!

I haven't had good luck with Flavor. The last time I went, I received incredibly awful service and never went back. Also, it's very loud--not in a fun way, just a stressful way.
Right next door to Flavor is Cafe Japan which is wonderful, but it's quite small. As mentioned, Tex Wasabi's, across 4th Street, is a lot of fun. It's loud too but in an endearingly obnoxious way. Not great food, but fine.. I've also heard good things about Bruno's.

You could try Cafe Citti on Hwy. 12 in Kenwood. Great Italian food, fun atmosphere, patio seating.
