Last Friday at Elephant & Castle on Clay Street I overheard a group of men making plans to go to Enrico's. I attempted to inform them it has been closed. But I was quickly corrected as they said "It's open again."

According to Yelp it indeed is back in business. Anyone been? Walked by??

  1. Go for the no-cover jazz from 7-10 pm. Tuesday night's Veronica Klaus will charm and delight. The famous North Beach mural hangs behind the piano and Millie still sits and drinks her coffee after taking $5 polaroids. The new old Enrico's still resonates and it's not just for tourists. Hurray for Christina Deeb!
The new look is swanky... oyster white walls and yellow velvet banquettes, white linen tablecloths and chandelieres .
Michael is the perfect server, friendly and efficient. We ordered apps and drinks; the wood fired pizza of pepperoni and mozzarella, the trois petit burgers, the Caesar salad, pork belly rillettes wtih cornichons, apple cranberry crisp with vanilla ice cream; Jamison and Soda, Dry Manhattan with a twist, Prosecco, and the 2003 Arnaldo Capria Montefalco Rosso. Total including tip $150. Food is satisfying, drinks are good. Standouts: Trois Petit Burgers, the Caesar salad, Apple Cranberry Crisp.
