Gargoyles "Disco Brunch" What's up?

kittychow Jul 19, 2007 07:46 AM

I saw the big sign for Disco Brunch outside Gargoyles last week but was driving and was unable to read the details? No mention on their web site yet. Wondering if anyone knows details? With Art Beast happening this weekend it might be a fun time to check it out.

Oh boy, shake your groove thing somewhere else! Somerville has some great brunch locales, so head there instead. Slow, terrible service (30 minutes for tea, never got the ordered oj), self-serve coffee was empty, food was average, and you couldn't hear the music. Great in theory, bad in execution. All in all a disappointing experience.

Really? That surprises me. I've been there twice for brunch and had an excellent experience both times. The service was prompt and friendly, the food was good, and the music was just right.

What do they have on the brunch menu? They don't list it on their website.

We had dinner at Gargoyles on Sunday night, and the waiter remarked that the disco balls hanging from the ceiling were from the disco brunch that day, so I know they do it on Sunday, but I'm not sure about Saturday.

So ti's a "Disco!", disco brunch. Not sure I can find a DC who'll be into Donna Summer that early. Wonder how the food is though.
