East Village Sandwich place

Just made the move from midtown to an east village office. I'm looking for a midtown-esque lunch spot. Deli sandwiches made to order: Essentially anything you can think of, they'll put on a bun... freshly shaved meat, multiple types of breads and cheeses...

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

  1. I think Miro Cafe makes a fantastic sandwich. They also have great salads and pasta salads.

    1. Graceland - 2nd and Avenue A. Lots of sandwich choices.

      1. Caffe Emiila has great Italian sandwiches and coffee.

You can also try Nicky's for Banh Mi (Vietnamese Sandwiches)

        1. Chomp on 14th between 1st and 2nd (i think) makes really good sandwiches, paninis and wraps for around $6 each. I'm not sure if they do "made to order" or if you have to pick from their (extensive) list of sandwiches, but they have many many different options. Also good for breakfast.

Chomp is actually just west of 2nd avenue, south side of street. one of my favorite neighborhood places. they do make sandwiches made to order. great soups too.

          2. Thai Me Up is an interesting "bahn-mi style" Thai sandwich shop on 14th between 2nd and 3rd. Also, I love the Italian deli, Russo's, just west of 1st ave (on 11th?), for fantastic sandwiches with fresh mozzerella and italian salumi.
