Cassis in Andover
Went to Cassis and noticed that the restaurant had new owners. They offer a Prix Fixe two nights a week and slightly different entrees than the former owners. We have been going to Cassis for years and hadn't gone for a while. The food was still good, but different somehow. I didn't get that same "country French bistro" feeling that the restaurant had before.
Anyone know if the former chef went somewhere else? Has anyone else had any experiences there recently?
Thanks!

re: ScubaSteve
Don't get me wrong - the food is still way better than most places in the area. To me it seemed that they were trying to make it a bit fancier than before and please more people. For example, they offer 2 soups for appetizers now, whereas before it was usually just 1. I liked that the menus were somewhat seasonal; I hope that they keep that aspect.
I think that the restaurant changed hands at the end of last summer.

The last time I visited was around September last year and I know they were offering the Tuesday/Wednesday Prix Fixe menu then. I went on a Thursday night so I wasn't able to try the Pris Fixe menu.
I did not know the restaurant had changed hands and didn't notice much of a change in the "country French bistro" feel.
