Philadelphia to Duck, NC Dinner Stop
Hello All! I'm be driving solo to the outerbanks from Philly (about 7 hours) and am looking for a dinner stop. Mapquest tells me that I'll be on Route 13 for a very long time. Any recommendations on a good place to eat? I'm thinking more country style or BBQ if I can get it. I'm not a picky eater, so any recommendation would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you are coming all the way down the eastern shore and crossing the CBBT. Just before the tunnel is Stingrays in an Exxon on your left. Great seafood and great people watching. We love the broiled flounder (with two sides) but there are a lot of good fried and broiled choices plus nonseafood items. For the other end of the spectrum I have heard good things about the restaurant at the Bay Creek golf course.

A lot depends on what time you're planning on leaving Philly.
Leaving Philly in the morning puts your dinner stop close to your destination. (No advice here, check the South board.)
Leaving Philly in the afternoon puts your dinner stop in the middle of your ride, around Salisbury, MD. Plenty of posts about Salisbury on this board, just search for them. My one recommendation there: Whitey's BBQ.
Leaving Philly later in the day, I'd do Jimmy's Grille in Bridgeville, DE.
