I was there last Thursday. Ordered the steak-for-three for our party of four and there was more than we could possibly consume. More importantly, it tasted great! (even my wife who isn't much of a carnivore was impressed.) The service was outstanding, the room cavernous but not unpleasant. And it is expensive (but most steak houses in the city are.) Great place for a business dinner, especially if you can expense it.

It's absolutely incredible. My brother brought me there about a year ago for the first time and it was not only outstanding that first time, but about the 20 times after that I've been there. For one of the best meals in the city, order:
tomato and mozzarella (ask for it with onion as well) for two
      steak for two
      german potatoes
If you truly love steak I promise you will not be disappointed. Both the food and service are outstanding

have not been there, but skip Ben Benson's-especially prior to broadway shows
tough, gristly meat, fair service, high price, luke warm veggies

The fiancee and I ate there a couple of months back. Thought it was outstanding. Had the caesar salad, Steak for two (perfect medium rare), german potatoes (wonderful) creamed spinach and a good ol' fashionaed hot fudge sundae for dessert. Terrific food and excellent service. It might be the best steak I've ever had.

I've been to every steakhouse in Manhattan except Strip House (I live in Fla) and a year ago posted what a wonderful meal my daughter and I had at B&J's. Most who responded thought I was crazy...but my original opinion stands. Glad to see some who share it.
