I'm heading to Asheville for the first time next month and one thing I like to find when I travel are good local ice cream shops. Do I have any to look forward to in the Asheville area? Thanks!

I'll second that one!! I was a little leary at first...stout ice cream?? but man is it worth the calories!

Ultimate Ice Cream on Tunnel road (aka 70). Slightly hidden behind a Pomodoro's restaurant.

The name is accurate. you need look no further. Ginger is my favorite followed by anything caramel-esque.

i tried the mexican chocolate last saturday... wow!

the pistachio & peach were good as well.
