Happy Hour: near BH/We Ho/The Grove area

lucytadeu Jul 17, 2007 11:33 AM

I'm meeting up with some five girlfriends on Friday for happy hour. My cousin is in town and I want to go somewhere lively and fun - so she gets a taste of LA. Most of the happy hours we know of end on the early side and we are all coming from work. Any suggestions for places in and around Beverly Hills/West Hollywood area (nothing east of The Grove/Larchmont though)? We've been to Cha Cha Chas a few times now and are looking for some other ideas. Late happy hours are great too.

Lolas on Fairfax & santa monica. They have a happy hour menu and drink specials, a great loungey vibe and over 50 different martinis.

Another vote for The Belmont and Luna Park for great drinks, good crowd, and fun place.

Along the same lines is Lola's on Fairfax, just south of Santa Monica Blvd. Probably best in terms of the drinks.

747 N La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90069

      Luna Park
672 S. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90036

945 N Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046

I vote for Nic's. Fun atmosphere, music, really good appitizers that are half price and fun martini's. My out of town guests always love going there!

I went to Luna Park with my GF for Happy Hour. Got their mac and cheese and the other HH special. Wasn't satisfied so went to Jack In the Box and got a burger. Then I was satisfied.

I llke the wine happy hour at Mr. Marcel Pain Vin Et Fromage located in the Farmers Market at the Grove. Definitely an LA vibe. Wines are 1/2 price and the olives and bread are always perfect sides. Live large and order a cheeses and pate plate. Nice mix of locals, people from CBS next door, and French ex-pats. Surprisingly, not a lot of tourist. I think they head to the Cheesecake factory. Then head over to the Whisper Lounge and finish up over there.

I like Third Stop too (the food is really good), but I wish they had mixed drinks there instead of only wine and beer!
