Lasagna for lunch-- North Berkeley

I'm pregnant. I'm dying for lasagna. Anyone know where I can get a take-out order?

I'm thinking Cugini on Solano, but I can't find a menu online. I know I must be overlooking some other places...I'm blanking.

Yeah, but I'm not driving there unless I *have* to. Wanted to call in an order somewhere and pick up a hot meal and zip back to work.

Hm, never been there. I'll have to pop in.

Edit: Yikes. No dice today, they're closed on Tuesdays.

For future reference, Lola's is now open every day of the week. Not sure whether they have lasagna, though.

    2. Nino's Brazilian restaurant and pizzeria has it. I think they even deliver. I don't know if it's any good or not. But it's there.

      1. LoCoco's on Shattuck.

Pretty decent lasagna if I remember correctly.

          Lo Coco's doesn't open till 5pm.

Lo Coco's was the first place I thought of, however there's no lasagna on their take out menu.

        2. The Juice Bar Collective on Vine has a vegetarian lasagne. Not my favorite dish there, but definitely edible and good for you too.

          1. A little googling revealed a menu for Cugini:

I don't see lasagna listed there, though.

Wasn't there an Italian restaurant on Shattuck, somewhere just south of Durant on the west side? I believe it had a fireplace in the centre of the main dining room.

              Giovanni's? Pretty bad.

That sounds probable. Too bad. They seemed pretty good when I was there, but that was over fifteen years ago, and restaurants do change in quality over much shorter periods of time.

I don't think Giovanni's has changed much in the past 40 years.

Ah, well. My tastes in Italian food may just be different then. And it is true that I had pizzas, not pastas.
