Resto or Cafe de Bruxelles?

Looking for good belgian, mussels, etc, not too expensive. Which would you recommend?

Bruxelles is great, was just there and everything was exellent.

Haven't been to Resto, but I can definitely vouch for Bruxelles.

i like petite abeille. ayce mussels on wednesdays for 20 and includes one beer.

i love BRUXELLES. it caters to an older neighborhood crowd. the long running tues hangar steak special is fav of mine for years. always satisfys my steak craving. spouse usually gets the rabbit and prunes. the frites are outstanding and come with every meal, they are irresistible. mussels are fine too.

only downsides are while the service is great, yes the restaurant is a bit shabby. also the main sides are mediocre and the beers are expensive.

i would not hesitate to go if you are in the mood for this. i almost forgot they have a nice happy hour in the pub area too if you want to stop by and check it out first.

The better Belgian food and the better mussels are at Bruxelles. The atmosphere at the 2 places is very different, though. Resto is sleek and modern (and cramped, and no reservations), while Bruxelles is a little run down but otherwise comfortable and relaxed.
