Whole Wheat Pizza/Pasta in San Diego???

Hey Guys,

Do you know where I can find places in San Diego that serve (preferably deliver) whole wheat pizza, as well as italian restaurants that serve whole wheat pasta?

That would make my year! Thanks!

  1. Can't help you on the pasta but Woodstock's Pizza on El Cajon Blvd. (close to College) offers a choice of white or whole wheat pizza crust.

    1. You might try asking at Assenti's Pasta if any of the restaurants they supply use whole wheat pasta.

Do they make that there? Can't recall seeing it.

It's on their price list at $4.50/lb. May not be a big mover, though, and who knows if it's popular enough to be carried at any local restaurants. May be worth a shot, (a long one) to call.

      2. You may want to talk to Russo's Pasta in Encinitas (also good place for simple lunch). This a small shop which specializes in home-made pasta. I think they also have whole wheat pasta. They have also recently opened a restaurant in Hillcrest (Russo's House).

Russo's does have whole wheat, as well as many other fresh and delicious varieties of pasta. We ate there tonight for the first time and loved our meal. I had the angel hair with pesto and my honey had the whole wheat spaghetti with mushroom marinara and a couple of meatballs.

Pasta and sauces were really great, and the price was very affordable.
