Raw Bar?

When I used to live in Miami we had plenty of raw bars. One in particular, was quite affordable and had a raw bar happy hour. From what I can remember, stone crab claws were a buck a piece, shrimp for a quarter, oysters and clams for either fifty cents or 75. Is there anything like that in LA or down south a bit?

If not something similar, can someone recommend an affordable raw bar in the LA area?

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't call many of those affordable raw bars, although they are the some of the best of their kind in LA. Ocean Ave Seafood does have an oyster happy hour, but I don't think the rest do.

I'll also hesitatingly throw in Enterprise Fish Co in the Santa Monica/Venice area. The regular menu is dismal, but their happy hour is pretty good if you stick with the simple seafood raw or steamed, instead of their creative appetizers (a la seafood potstickers). Happy hour menu at:

I meant to say none were cheap, but seafood isn't generally, especially oysters and what not. Sorry I don't have more financially reasonable suggestions!

We did have a good experience recently at Hungry Cat though.

Am I wrong in thinking that McCormick and Schmick's has an oyster bar in their happy hour?!?

Not sure about McCormick's, but Ocean Ave Seafood and Mirabelle both have good deals on oysters during happy hour.

Out of all of these I believe only Bluewater Grill and Hungry cat have Clams. Bluewater is way more reasonable for them. Unfortunately raw clams on the half shell have to be imported from the east coast. I get'em in Vegas at the Station Casinos that have seafood bars.
