Of all places, I got some from Alex Farms at the St. Lawrence Market.
Took it home, sliced it about 1 inch thick.
Basted it with Olive oil, oregano and garlic while I grilled it on the BBQ.
    Awesome!

Alex farms is the first place to look for Greek cheeses, since Alex is Greek also.

I third the motion for Alex Farms. They've got another location on The Danforth right across from Chester subway (which I believe might be the original storefront).
Their selection of cheeses is incredible, and they've got a fair bit of other Greek foodstuffs worth checking out (olives, oils, etc...)

I bought some at Akram's in Kensington. Not sure if it was goat, sheep or cow.
I love it grilled an topped with red chiles, lemon and olive oil.
Googled it and it actually Cypriot cheese, interesting.

Monforte cheese makes an excellent Halloumi from Ontario sheep's milk cheese. You can buy it from the St. Lawrence north market on Saturdays.

i checked at akram's today but alas, it's cow milk. i'm supposed to be avoiding cow milk for the next while which is why i'm looking for the goat or sheep milk variety.

Akram's is your best bet for walking distance. I typically buy it from Alex Farms - my wife grew up in the Middle East and craves it regularly.

Believe it or not, I saw some at Price Chopper. I have often found this grocery chain to be pretty good for ethnic stuff.

Leslieville Cheese Market at Queen East & Logan carry a lot of goat & sheep's milk cheeses, including halloumi. Nice selection of other types of cheeses, esp. artisanal.
