How is Alma these days? I know about the view, I'm wondering how the food is.
Thanks

I just went there last weekend... as everyone knows, the view is spectacular. I found the food to be good, but not great. We tried one traditional dish (enchiladas) and one more nuevo (coconut(?) crusted shrimp)... both were decent but not inspired. But, with such a view and an icy beer, a lovely place for an evening.

Indeed, a great view. Less than mediocre food. I'd go with some drinks and maybe some app's. Can't go too wrong there.

I would agree with pslopian, good but not great food. I've tried the guac, a couple of different fish dishes and the fajitas. All were good but not great. I think it is in the same category as Mama Mexico in Manhattan - decent food and large portions with huge drinks. The view is absolutely fantastic - one of the best in NY.

The food is lackluster. I really found nothing about it to be special, but the views nice as you know.

I guess I'll be the one to disagree. Although I've not been there in probably a year, I have always liked their food a lot. Especially the mole enchiladas. If anyone knows of better in the area I'd love to know.
