Dining With Young Kids
Will be visiting Toronto the weekend of August 3rd with 2 young children (1.5 and 3.5). Where are the best places where we will not feel out of place with kids? Doesn't have to be a "family restaurant" per se; we simply seek tolerance. For instance, we often restort to a low-volume DVD player to buy us that critical last 1/2 hour.
Staying at the Intercontinental on Front Street, but willing to travel for good food. Kids will eat anything within reason (i.e. no super hot food, blowfish, etc. ). Would like to try a good Italian place down on College, but thinking more in terms of carpaccio than red sauce pasta and garlic bread (if you know what I mean).
Thanks for any and all advice!

My husband and I took our 3 and 1 year olds to Romagnia Mia on Front Street (at Jarvis, near the St. Lawrence Market) and they were great with the kids. The waiter brought books and toys for the kids and even a little ice cream for dessert. The food was great too. My husband had a pasta with bolognese sauce and I had a cheese and spinach ravioli in a sage butter sauce and they were both delicious. We will definitely go back soon!
