English Toffee in Vermont?

  • 4
  • Share

A few years back I was given some incredible english toffee as a gift. I've recently been trying to track it down and I can't seem to find it. I believe it was from the Brattleboro area and the company was a womans name, such as Stephanie's English Toffee.

I would be grateful if anyone could lead me in the right direction so I can track down this toffee. My mother loved it and her birthday is coming up soon.

  1. Call Matt at Rubiner's Cheese Store in Great Barrington Ma. I think he used to (maybe still does) stock a wonderful NE toffee.
    Good luck!

      Thanks for the suggestion!

    2. The product you mention doesn't sound familiar, but there is a company in Brattleboro called Tom and Sally's that produces "handmade" chocolates. They sell almond toffee. I haven't had the stuff, but I've heard that their products are just average. See their offerings here: http://www.tomandsallys.com/gourmet/i...

Burdick's Chocolate in nearby Walpole, NH has superior quality candy, but I'm not sure if they offer a toffee product. They're worth a look: http://www.burdickchocolate.com/

There's also the New England Toffee Company, based in Acton, MA whose site boasts of award-winning toffee. Check them out here: http://www.newenglandtoffee.com/

On a final note, I'd suggest getting in touch with the Brattleboro Food Coop. Their staff is pretty knowledgeable about local products and farmers' markets where you might find the product you want. It's also fun to shop there. http://www.brattleborofoodcoop.com/

        Thanks so much.

I actually got in touch with someone who received the same gift and they had the card. It's was from Steph's Kitchen. There wasn't a website, only an email address.
I'm going to get in touch with her and see if she still makes it.
