Kai for Lunch- Is it Worth It?

I wanted to treat myself to lunch at Kai this Wed because I've been craving kaseiki cuisine for two whole years now! Also, doing a search online, Kai seems to be the only place in NY that does kaseiki for lunch...and $40 doesn't seem too bad. (Dinner at Kai or elsewhere is just not an option for me at the moment due to my budget).
I wanted to know if anyone on chowhound has had Kai's Kaseiki lunch and what you thought. Thanks!
