online "farmer's markets"

I don't always make it to the farmer's market and I don't eat enough to justify a CSA. So, is there a way to order produce/dairy/bread etc online (I prefer organic) from a local business/farm that is delivered through my house? Basically, a source where I choose what I want each week and how much. I know about Peapod, etc, but I'd rather support small, local and family businesses. Thanks!

Consider purchasing a half-share from a CSA - that's what I did for this season and it's working out great. I don't know of any farmer that would do home deliveries. For meat and poultry, I go to Springfield Farm (www.ourspringfieldfarm.com) on Yeoho Road once every few weeks and stock my freezer. For dairy, Trickling Springs dairy products (Pennsylvania) are available at Springfield Farm, Atwaters at Belvedere Square, at Mill Valley Garden Center at 28th/Sisson, and at some grocery stores.

Re: monavano: I live in Cleveland Park. Also, farmersmarketonline.com popped up when I searched, but they don't have much listed that's local to DC. I'd like to buy most of what I need from 1 place (ie, all produce from 1 farm) so the shipping/handling or delivery charges don't mount up, as well as save the environment a little bit of gas expenditure.
