Need Cleveland eats w/ vegetarian options
We're going to Cleveland on Monday for The Police concert (Quicken Loans Arena) and we're looking for a place to have dinner (maybe early-ish). There is one vegetarian in the group, possibly two, so we'd need a place to work for everyone without anyone feeling like they're "settling." Any suggestions? I browsed other Cleveland sections, but didn't really see anything that stuck out from the crowd.
Siam Cafe has some of the best tasting food in the city but it's a casual place. And they have an enormous menu. Some of the vegetarian items are also some of my favorites. Fried tofu, usually served with some kind of meat, is still delicious without it. Ong choi with preserved bean curd is also fantastic. Braised tofu with mushrooms is another wonderful choice. They have a whole page devoted to tofu and vegetables but one or two of those dishes are only mostly vegetarian. Everything is clearly labelled. Some noodle and stir fry dishes could also be modified to accommodate vegetarians.
I'm sure there are several vegetarian restaurants in the area but I can't really recommend them from personal experience. I've always wanted to go to Cafe Limbo. I've heard good things about them - especially their carrot cake. Besides that there are even a couple strictly meat free restaurants and some Thai restaurants that could be good for vegetarian diners. If you might be interested in that or if you have other specific criteria then some other recommendations might occur to me.
