Best restaurant/s in Aspen?
As I get more and more interested in food, the aspen restaurants are less than satisfactory. (They have always been expensive and mediocre for the last 30 years I've been coming in the summer, but I have less patience.) Last night (not even going to say where) was pleasant enough atmosphere sitting outside in the cool dry air. (Inside hot and noisy.) However, food was almost inedible. Underdone potato slice on a "flatbread" appetizer with pesto and goat cheese. Inedible trout -- a kind of mayonaissy sauce with some unappetizing "potato salad." Boring creme brulee. Expensive check.
So what are the best bets in Aspen?
