Workday lunch places near Pier 39?
My company is moving its office to a building near Pier 39, and I'd like recommendations for where to go for lunch.
Both eat-in and take-out are fine. And I don't mind wading through tourists or paying more than, say, $10 if the food is worth it.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the replies!
My lunch favorites -- "favorite" being a relative word that in this means close by and reasonably tasty -- so far are Freddie's, La Salsa, Boudin, and Trader Joe's. The middle two are in Pier 39 but don't require too much wading through tourists to reach. Also had good take-out from Saigon Grill, but that's a bit further away and in the midst of Fisherman's Wharf craziness.
I've yet to try Kabul City. And I'm interested if anyone knows anything about the take-out window at Butterfly. I've seen the poor reviews for this place on here, and I've looked at their online menu, but I wonder if this info is relevant for take-out service.

There is a new cafe on Mason and Chestnut, I don't know the name but they have lunchtime sandwiches and curbside seating. There's also Il Fornio across from Fog City Diner, a lot of the business people from LEvi Plaza go there. If you want to go for a longer walk, try Kennedy's on Columbus and Taylor (an Irish Pub and Curry house combined). They have a good lunchtime Indian buffet for not too expensive.

Houston's is okay for group lunches. We'd go there for things like birthday lunches and such. Sometimes when we'd want to take a client to a slighty nicer place we'd go down to Fog City Diner. Again, neither place is great, but they work for certain occaisions.
Houston's didn't come up in the links. It's at 1800 Montgomery (at Embarcadero)

tara, not super close, but you might try Kabul City's lunch specials for $6.99.

My office moved there too, it's pretty rough. There are not really any good recommendations for lunch at any price. There are however a few places that are reasonable quality and price (none are outstanding though). Here are a few.
If you have a bike or scooter, you can easily get to North Beach where you'll have many more options.
