Family dining in Newport and Manzanita OR

I have a 2 and 5 yr. old and will be on the coast the 22 - 24 of July. Any recomendations in these two towns... or any others near by. Thanks.

Shark's in Newport - get the Cioppino, but it's all good (and nothing fried).
Taking real advantage of location in one of the few real seaports left with a fishery.

We love the Chowder Bowl in Nye Beach (Newport). Mo's is fun and it's an institution but the Chowder at the Chowder Bowl is much more fabulous and they have the best fish and chips I've ever had. Both are good places to take kids.

Local Ocean in Newport on the bay front.

Nothing is really good in Manzanita proper, unfortunately.

I'll check it out. I assume it's in Newport.

While Mo's has been an Oregon Coast institution for years, recent trips have left me disenchanted. We've had bland chowder, decent fried appetizers, and a disgusting concoction that was supposed to be a shrimp casserole with a roasted red pepper creamy sauce but was instead a partially cold pile of bay shrimp with a half inch of melted shrimp water in the bottom and smothered with melted Cheddar. While that experience was at a different Mo's location, I'd say that, in general, Mo's is not all it's cracked up to be.
