Yes, if you do a quick search on the board, you'll find many comments, including some of mine. Briefly, let me say that I have mixed feelings about Dogwood. Love the concept--using only, mostly local produce and meats and in very traditional, almost classical ways--and I like how they've designed the restaurant, but the service has been my problem. Have gone twice and both times we experienced mediocre to poor service. The food is good, in some instances very good, but hopefully they've fixed the service issues.

I like Dogwood. Good food, simply prepared. And I like the focus on local and seasonal foods. Service can be slow, but I hear they have just hired a general manager and will be re-training the staff while they are shut down for renovations, so service should improve greatly when they re-open in late August/early September. (The deli is open all summer, and serves great salads, sandwiches, juices, and Sylvan Beach ice cream.)

Good to know that they're focusing on the front of the house, because the kitchen certainly has its act together. Thanks for the info!
