Sushi Grade Fish - peninsula?

  • 9

any suggestions on where to buy sushi grade fish on the peninsula? I'd be willing to drive south to San Jose, or perhaps to the east bay as well. The only place I know of is the fish market at Hwy 1 & 92 in Half Moon Bay (and I don't know if they have it all the time..)

thanks!

  1. My brother has used salmon from Lunardis for sushi. The one in Burlingame.

Nijiya market, 1956 S. El Camino
        Takahashi, 221 S. Claremont St
        Suriki, 71 E, 4th Ave.

Supposedly early next year in Cupertino.

I've also used Crystal Springs Fish and Poultry also in San Mateo
If you're willing to go to the east bay, my favorite place is Tokyo Fish

I've never heard anyone recommend Takahashi Market! I'll be sure to check it out this week. :)

          2. Nak's market in downtown Menlo Park -- it's on a small side street off of santa cruz avenue -- has a good selection of pre-cut sashimi, quail eggs, and pan-asian goods.

            1. I always buy my sushi-grade fish from the counter at Suruki in San Mateo.
