Baltimore Sun vs. Baltimore Magazine [moved from DC/Baltimore board]

I've noticed that the "Best Restaurant" list from the Baltimore Sun differs quite a bit from Baltimore Magazines list. Which one do you think is more accurate? Is Zagat a reliable source?

  1. The Sun has a reputation to uphold and is serious about its criticism, constructive and otherwise. Zagat is quotes from local diners and the local editors try to be fair with what they have to work with. Steve Geppi bought Baltimore Magazine vowing publicly to cheer for Baltimore and be positive about its local institutions.

    1. I don't think you can consider any more accurate than another. Restaurant reviews are subjective and are based one one or a few people's opinions. I would check all three of the above out and see which restaurants get high ratings from all and make your choices accordingly.

      1. While I don't love the Sun's reviews, Baltimore Magazine has never given a negative review.
