What to eat at Mercat?

Celebrating my birthday there on friday and was wondering if others have been there recently and what is recommended? Thanks in advance. Also, I've frequented Casa Mono, Tia Pol and Las ramblas... Is there a different place i should try in place of Mercat? Heard great things about Boqueria, but they dont take reservations.

Mercat is noisy in the extreme. That said, the patatas bravas are a must. Pork belly was too fatty for my taste. Guinea hen was very good but not exciting. Tables are jammed together. Not for a leisurely dinner.
