Questions on Ciudad Happy Hour
I think I've heard that Ciudad has a good happy hour, but I've never been. The website only lists drink specials--are there food specials as well? What kind of happy hour food is available, and what's the pricing like for specials? ( I see that their regular menu is on the pricey side, and the group I'm going with won't want to spend too much.) Also, the website says that happy hour specials are available "in the bar." Does that mean that we literally have to sit AT the bar, or is there a bar section with tables that we can sit in? Basically, can we sit at a table somewhere and still get happy hour deals? Any relevant info on the Ciudad happy hour would be appreciated!

The happy hour is for multiple drinks (sangrias or mojitos), I think around $5-$7 range. The sangrias are wonderful.
It also includes food. The food happy hour is around $5-$10, I think closer to the $5 range, depending on what you get. They have calamari, tacos, fried plantains, goat cheese, etc. However, the portions are pretty small so you would need to order a few plates to get full.
By bar, they mean you must sit in the bar area and not in the regular restaurant. You can sit at the bar itself. They also have a few tables in the bar area. You can also sit in the patio area. They consider that bar also.
If you don't drink a ton, you can definitely get out of there for $15 or $20 a person or less. It's a great deal because like you noticed, they regular menu is pricey.

Not sure if this is still current, but this page has a link to a PDF of the bar menu:

I know it used to be everything was $3 during happy hour, but that was an entirely different menu. I guess they don't do that anymore. Darn.
