Sushi in Pittsburgh

fox522 Jul 11, 2007 03:04 PM

I'm a huge fan of Nakama's sushi. Second to that is Little Tokyo in Mt. Lebanon. Does anyone else know of some really great sushi in or around the Pittsburgh area?

Umi - Shadyside (Mr. Shu is amazing!)
    The Fishmarket - Downtown
Chaya - Squirrel Hill (very authentic)

I should try Umi sometime. I can walk to Chaya, so that's where I usually go. Everywhere else I've been (Sushi Two/Too, the Korean place at the edge of the strip, and the other two places in Sq. Hill) is just okay.

The carryout at Whole Foods isn't bad if you eat it for lunch.

Little Tokyo in Mt. Lebanon is worth a try when you're in the South Hills. Haven't been to Umi in a couple of years, but Little Tokyo sates me just fine.
