Whole Foods Frozen "Whole Kitchen" Vegan Pad Thai- Suprisingly Good
Since I find the prepared food at Whole Foods to range from mediocre to awful, I was pleasantly surprised by the frozen "Whole Kitchen" vegan Pad Thai with Tofu that I just picked up from Whole Foods.. It's actually good (better, in fact, than some of the stuff that you get at neighborhood Thai restaurants). And, according to the label, it only has 340 calories - I would guess that the typical restaurant serving of Pad Thai, usually loaded with sugar, has something like 600-700 calories.

thanks for the review! I have some of this in my freezer right now and it sounds like I should get it out soon for dinner.

I had this today, and it was just OK. The pad thai sauce tasted very tomatoey, which is nothing like any pad thai I've had before. I prefer the Trader Joe's Vegan Pad Thai. But it's got something like 600 calories so it's not a frequent meal. Whole Foods also has a vegetarian pad thai by Tandoor Chef that I bought and will try tomorrow. 490 calories... but I guess that just means I'll stay full longer.

Today I had the Tandoor Chef Vegetarian Pad Thai and it's awesome good. Much better than the Whole Kitchen PT, and better than the Trader Joe's version. (Also, substantially fewer calories than TJ, though substantially more expensive.) I had 2/3 for lunch and will probably finish it off late afternoon. Definitely going to get more of this.
