My favorite restaurants in NYC are Jean Georges, WD-50, David Burke and Donatella, and Prune. What would you recommend? I had a baby a year ago and haven't been out much since, so I'd like to go somewhere I've never been.

My boyfriend and I went to Cru last weekend and were really impressed. The food was excellent--each and every course. The restaurant is known for its wine and the list fills up two leather books! The service was great, too. Overall, I loved it.

For a slurge, Per Se or L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon. Daniel is good too if you don't mind all the "surveillance" around you... Food is excellent

Mid to High price range - Eleven Madison Park!

For a more causal and initmate vibe (and less expensive), Little Owl is quite romantic.

I second EMP. Great service. Delicious food ever since Daniel Humm took over the kitchen.
