MSP Visit Report
I can't seem to find the time to write up a full report of my trip to the Twin Cities, but I wanted to at least take a minute to thank everyone for the awesome suggestions and give you a list of where I ate (and got coffee):
Tavern on Grand
Everything was amazing. I think if I had to pick favorites it would be Al's Breakfast and Tanpopo. But i don't think I ate anything that wasn't at least very good the whole time I was there. I also am in love with Kowalski's (and bought piles of Pearson's candies there!).
Thanks again for all the great recommendations and I'll fill in details as soon as I possibly can.
Great report, thank you for reporting back. I love those Pearson's candies--I take them to friends whenever I travel out of town!

Aha. That's why I don't know about it - I can't drink coffee. (Sob.) I miss out on a lot of nice non-coffee treats (like pastries from Margo's Patisserie at Kopplin's, according to their web site), because I don't dare walk through the door and smell that gorgeous coffee aroma.
I too just returned from a visit to the Twin Cities. It sure was HOT! We weren't very focused about our outings but here is where we ended up:
King's Korean Lunch Buffet
Little Szechuan (twice)
El Burrito Mercado
Nelson's Cheese Factory (love that Hot Hero!)
MSP Farmers Market - fish taco and beef jerky
The Muddy Pig for beer (love this place!)
Dad's house for killer smoked pork shoulder
We had a very tasty visit. There are so many good options, I look forward to my next visit in October!
Thanks for all the help!
