Black Hills through CO to southern Utah

My family road trip has shifted routes now and my niece and I will be travelling from the Black Hills through Colorado to the parks in southern Utah. If anyone has any tips on interesting food along the way, I'd be happy to hear it. We leave this Saturday from the California delta and return on July 28.

I'll post a report when I return.

Thanks in advance.

You don't say which route you are planning to take thru/across CO, but perhaps check thread http://www.chowhound.com/topics/417705. Most people come down into CO from the Black Hills area via Newcastle, WY, but I understand there's a new or widened n/s hwy in SD too. If it's finished, it might be a better route. If it's under construction, there might be delays.

I think we'll be coming into Colorado through Cheyenne on 25, hooking up with the 70 west into Utah. That looks like the most straightforward route.

      Any tips? THANKS
