An evening of tastings - multiple restaurants

What a wonderful time we had - a progressive dinner that took us to four different restaurants in one evening and late into the night. And all within walking distance of each other! We began with drinks at Blue Hill, then strolled to Bellavitae and shared some first course offerings. Onto Liitle Owl for some sliders and other small plates and, finally, to Mas Farmhouse for Champagne and dessert (Mas serves until 4 am). We'd love to do it again with different restaurants. Any suggestions?

    Hi Aeros,

I've never been to an event like what you experienced. It sounds intriguing.
Is this just a yearly event? I'm interested, I'm returning at the end of August, this is something that I would like to experience.
    Please tell me more info?

Hi food for life. Believe it or not, this was a spur of the moment idea. My husband and I were early for our reservation at Bellavitae, so we decided to stop and have a drink at Blue Hill. While sitting at the bar, we thought wouldn't it be fun to try several restaurants in one night. We often try different appetizers in lieu of entrees when we dine, so we took it a step further and thought we'd try different restaurants. So we grazed through first courses and shared dishes. We thought other foodies may have done the same, and thought we'd post on Chowhound for suggestions. It really was a wonderful evening and so much fun!! We've told many of our friends about our adventure, and everyone loves the idea.

One question - what time did you get to Little Owl and did you immediately get a table?

We got to Little Owl around 10:45, and had to wait 15-20 minutes for a table.

We did almost the same thing! Last week we started with the sliders and soft shell crab at Little Owl then went over to Ditch Plains for our mains. We then had an after dinner drink at Blue Ribbon Bar and then ended up across the street at Mas for champagne & dessert! What a delightful day!

        i would do:

-- aperitif and oysters or salad at Balthazar
-- drinks and tapas at n33 on Crosby
        -- dessert at Raoul's

actually those three could be done in any order...(although i only like Raoul's for dessert since the menu changed)...
