Any mexican places serve Huitlacoche(Corn Fungus)?

Had this for the first time in Austin, Texas at an authentic mexican restauarnt that served it in empenadas. It was delicious. Can you get it in NYC?

  1. You can choose it for your quesadillas at Tehuitzingo, at 695 Tenth Ave. in Manhattan, and with good timing you may find a huitlacoche souffle among the specials at Itzocan Bistro, at 1575 Lexington Ave.: Other hounds will likely know many more places to find it as well.

    1. We split a post asking about the Austin source of Huitlacoche Empanadas over to our Austin board:

      1. I have had it at Tacos Nuevo Mexico on Fifth Avenue between 12th and 13th Streets in Park Slope. It was a special at the time so you may want to call and make sure they have it if you are making a special trip. If you do call, its best to have a Spanish speaker on hand... 718-686-8151

        1. El Centenario in South Slope has really good huitlachoche quesadillas.
