Denny's "new" bacon

Has anyone else noticed how bad Denny's new bacon is?

In my area (St. Petersburg, FL) Denny's has switched to a new quick cooking bacon that is just awful - it tastes like cardboard at best. They tell me that it was adopted because cooks would cook up a batch of bacon ahead of a rush (due to the relative slowness of cooking bacon) & wind up throwing out a lot of bacon or worse, serving bacon that had sat on the stove too long. (I solved the later problem by ordering my bacon "limp" which forced them to cook it fresh)

So, someone came up with a quick cooking bacon & I guess it solves the problem mentioned above but I'm sure they will eventually lose business as a result.

Let me say that I hate cooking breakfast but love bacon & eggs & over the years I have found Denny's to be a reliable source of that meal all over the US & even in Mexico City.

The new bacon is so bad I'm thinking of defecting to IHOP, which still serves traditional, slow cooking bacon (but I don't like their hash browns or coffee as well as Denny's).
