Anchorage Dinner before flight home

Am looking for a place for dinner before a 10pm flight hopefully not too far out of the way. We (2 adults 2 teens) will have driven from Homer back to Anchorage that day so it could be anywhere enroute but would prefer in the Anchorage vicinity.

  1. Choices abound but here's some ideas -

Double Musky Inn in Girdwood - upscale
Turnagain House - right side of the highway well after Girdwood on the way to Anchorage
Glacier Brewhouse in downtown Anchorage - brewpub with wood oven roasted everything

There isn't much actually on the way to the airport and most of the midtown restaurants are the chains - Lonestar, Sea Galley, Applebees, etc.

    Enjoy your visit!

    1. Hope its not too late but this was a great place for us and we have two teens too. Nice location on a lake, you can watch float planes take/off land. Close to the airport.

      4800 Spenard Rd.
      Anchorage, AK 99517-3236

      1. You can't go wrong with Moose's Tooth at 36th Avenue and the New Seward Hwy in midtown Anchorage (easy access and not a far trip to the airport). They've won "Best of Anchorage" for their pizza and beers. It is one of the most popular casual restaurants in town, and rightfully so.

        1. I suggest the Bear Tooth Grill, check out their menu at Sometimes there's a fairly long (45 min-1hour) wait. But well worth it. It's run by the same folks as the Moose's Tooth.
