My once yearly visit to Follow Your Heart's Pizza Night!

Diana Jul 9, 2007 11:58 AM

I always go in July.

Every Friday they do special thick crust pizza. you get a slip of paper to choose your sauce (tomato, alfredo, yeast), cheese (real, soy, rennetless), and toppings (all sorts!). Yopu can also opt for no corner piece.

We brought our bottle of Sangiovese ordered a hummous platter to munch, and picked our pizza. The waiter brought us water and wine glasses (BYOB! no corkage)

I got tomoto sauce, real cheese, roasted eggplant, roasted pepper, onion, muchroom, basil and garlic.

My husband got red sauce, real cheese, artichoke hearts, onions and soy pepperoni.

The single piece is a square about as big as my head, lovely and bubbly, brown on top-loaded with toppings.

I couldn't help but eat it all.

Since we didn't get soup or salad, they took a dollar off, a $9.75 pizza cost $8.95. My husband had more than enought for lunch the next day.

With tax, tip, free corkage and an entertainment book "buy on get one entree free" we left for under $20.00 for two!

next week, pancakes and biscuits at john o groats!

Is this Follow Your "Heart" in Canoga Park or is it Follow Your Heat, (which in Canoga Park right now would be pretty easy to do)?

hee hee, sorry, Follow your heart.

They do pizza every day, but on Friday nights they do the special, bigger, thick crust pizza.

No worries. Great pizza can put me in heat in a heart beat.

You know, I've never had it, so I couldn't tell you. I've always wondered, but never ordered it.
