Grand Bistro Anyone?
I just read about this place in a local Culver City newspaper, The Culver City News. A letter writer gave props to the Grand Bistro in Raintree Plaza in Culver City (which is a sort of nondescript shopping center at Overland and Jefferson).
The food is billed as "eurofusion", and the chef partners were chefs at Breeze in the Century Plaza Hotel.
We will try it ourselves soon and report back but was curious if others have eaten there already.
I ate here this past weekend with some friends and it was really very good. I had lamb chops that were some of the best I've ever had, and it was only $13.95 for the chops, au gratin potatoes (yummy) and green beans. Salads and soups were inexpensive as well. My friends ate pasta ($8.95 for a very large helping) which they said was delicious and we all agreed we look forward to going back again. Reasonably priced and excellent food.
Just curious if anyone else has hit this place yet. It's in an unlikely location, a stretch of Raintree Center formerly occupied by several failed Chinese buffets, wedged in between a Pizza Hut, a Quiznos and a pretty decent (and cheap) Indian place. Checked out the menu and it looks intriguing, but I can't figure out what kind of restaurant it's trying to be. Sort of like a generic California chain place, without the chain, it seems.
