Freeze angel food cake?

First of all, homemade-from-scratch angel food cake is just a little piece of heaven. So much better than that awful too-dense chemical-tasting stuff from the store.

Despite my desire to eat the whole thing RIGHT NOW, my hubbie & I can't eat it before it goes bad.
Can it be frozen or should it be taken to the office to be devoured?

  1. As you know, angel food cake starts to change texture even the next day. Best eaten fresh, but you can freeze it for a few days--not, like other cakes, for weeks or months without damage. I always glaze my angel food with chocolate or sometimes caramel, and this helps protect it in the freezer.
