Any great little places that aren't touristy? My first time in the area, and I love local "finds". Will also be spending the night after hiking in Palm Springs, so any recommends there would be great. Thanks!

Crossroads cafe is really cute and very good food! Everything is homemade, they have really good salads and sandwiches. Its in the little town of Joshue Tree off of HWY 62. You can't miss it.

Any other suggestions? I'm sure we'll be there for one day, so lunch and dinner suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
