Chicks Restaurant - What Happened ?

Went to Chicks Restaurant for takeout and picked up the #5 Family Meal: Rack of Babybacks + whole rotisserie chicken + baked beans + tortillas & salsa + bbq sauce - - all for $36.

Ok.. heres my take. (1) The ribs were mediocre at best and the smallest full rack of babybacks I've ever seen. Nothing substantial to eat here. The flavor was 'marinadey' rather than tasting BBQ'd or have smokey flavor. Better ribs can be found just about anywhere - - including the specialty dry, overcooked ones I always seem to get at Wood Ranch. Pass on the ribs - - save your money. (2) The Rotisserie chicken was excellent. Good flavor, nice crunchy crust, excellent spices - - Bingo! But here we go again - - the smallest damned chicken I've ever seen - - at a price of $15! Come on - - where's the value here, are you really trying to be so cheap?? Everything here seemed so very "proportioned", and I got the feeling that the customer is scrimped on any extras. Even extra BBQ sauce costs extra! Come On!

In summary, this place has only got one thing going for it - - Rotisserie Chicken. Improve the ribs and try making them taste like real BBQ - - and can't you just make it a normal size rack of ribs like Famous Daves (who kicks their butts on ribs) or even the ribs from **cough/gag** Wood Ranch.

I would give this place 2 stars out of 5. Lousy value - - Great Chicken.
