Faux Meat in Indian Food at Any Rest?
Paneer pretty much serves that purpose.
But why not just have delicious and high protein south Indian? I'm talking about dosa, vada, uttapam (all complete proteins made with bean and rice flours), avial, lassi (milk protein) and that kind of thing. You won't find yourself craving meat at all. I very much love my meat, but spent months in south India eating this stuff and never once wanted animal protein.
