Does anyone have any experience's eating at Giacomo's in the South End.
The South End Giacomo's has its fans on this board, but I am definitely not one of them. I've found it to be very unextraordinary Italian-American in too-large portions. For that kind of food, I'd rather go to the divier, better-priced Anchovies next door, even though the food is (I believe now) coming out of the same kitchen; they certainly have the same owners.
Ron- Have you already checked the history of all recent postings? You'll see Giacomo's mentioned extensively. I personally like the Giacomo's in the South End for what it is, a full bar with good service, good italian comfort food at reasonable prices, and nice TV's to watch the Sox. It's a very decent neighborhood restaurant and bar. I don't think they're trying to be anything more than that.
