But they will make and deliver wedding cakes. Then, after tasting cake at about 8 different places in all price ranges all over the Bay Area, we were shocked to find that JD had by far the most tasty, and at a very reasonable price. We also had a non-traditional wedding and instead of getting a stacked cake, we got 5 individual cakes. They made them all look identical with swiss dot decoration even though we got 2 kinds - the triple lemon with cream cheese frosting, and the weekend cake (chocolate/mocha with cream cheese frosting). They can also do any kind of custome cake you ask for, inside and/or outside. We arranged them on a table at varying heights and put fresh flowers on each one, with wedding photos of our parents and grandparents among the cakes. The guy we talked to at the Embarcadero location was very cool too - no pressure, very relaxed vendor, which was welcome. It dropped the price for 80 guests from $350 to less than $150, and everyone loved the arrangement. Not to mention, people were absolutely ecstatic about the cakes themselves. Give them a try. No one has to stand around cutting cake. You don't have to pay the preimium that gets tacked on anything with the word "wedding" attached to it. People can easily have a little or a lot of cake.
