"Hey, QueenB" Header Thingy

Sometime in the past few hours, the greeting header "Hey, QueenB | Logout New! Improved search and Places linking" that used to be in the top right corner has moved into the center of my screen, in regular black text.

Is this intentional, or am I seeing something funny?

My "Hey, LindaWhit" was in the middle next to the CH logo from whenever changes were made to the site (maybe from QueenB's post on 7/6?) through last night on my home computer. Just noticed that "Hey, LindaWhit" and the line below re: the "New! Improved search and Places linking" is now back over to the right side here at work.

Wondering if this is computer specific or if something changed again behind the scenes to move those links back to the right (don't get me wrong - I prefer them on the right side vs. in the middle!). I did have to sign into CH again here at work as I hadn't been online on this computer since Tuesday.

My "Hey Gio" is in the center of the page too - and in black. Underneath is, "New! Search and Places linking."
All this is very funny considering the many years Chowhound has been in existence. I suppose it can be thought of as trying to perfect the perfect. LOL

Today, mine is in center of page. Yesterday, at the side. Today, the only way I can get Hot Posts is to change to red theme. Also, with the beige theme, the heading above the board is so pale, it cannot be read. What are they doing?? So frustrating, I find I am cheking the site a lot less than before all these changes.

It did it to me too. this afternoon, on a page I had opened and left open. When I came back to the computer, noticed and reloaded the page, it went back to the right.

Same here, using the IE 6 browser, if that's relevant.

Also, the alignment on my screen is weird - the base of the "Hey, ElsieDee" line aligns with the top of the "CHOWHOUND" text and the "New! Improved ..." text aligns at the top with the top of the CHOWHOUND text. Basically, the "Hey, ElsieDee" text is just floating. Hard to describe, but weird looking. Probably not relevant.

My "Chowhound" logo is gone. all I have is the "Hey, beetlebug" floating in the middle of the page.

Seriously though, am I the only person missing the "Chowhound" logo that used to be on the top left hand corner?

The Chowhound logo appears on the upper left when you use the darker theme. I did have that color, but changed over to the lighter theme yesterday and the logo is allllllll gooooooooone.

I've been using the beige theme all along, and my CH logo is in the upper left-hand corner, and always has been.

Same here, the logo looks the same as always. And you couldn't pay me to use that darker theme.

Odd, odd, odd. I've always used the beige and up until the last couple of days, I've had the logo. But, since the switch, poof. No more logo. Also, I experimented with the red theme to see if the logo appeared - not only, no logo, but no red.

FYI, I'm on an Apple and on Safari.

Logo is also missing when I use red theme which I now must do in order to get Hot Posts. Would much rather use beige-easier on eyes. Also, the lagging and jumping is still as bad. In fact, the whole website leaves much to be desired.
