Lunch Rec with 90 year-old in wheelchair
Grateful for lunch recommendation for Friday with an older, frail woman. Need wheelchair access and preferably valet parking in the Woodley/Cleveland Park area. Dupont Circle also seems pretty close. She doesn't get out much, so I'd like it to be comfortable, not too loud or avant garde in fare. I'm also from out of town, so I have no idea where to take her. Am considering Lavandou, Petits Plats, Nage, or Robert's at the Omni Shoreham. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
I don't think many restaurants have valet parking during the day in DC, so a hotel restaurant is a good idea so the hotel would park for you. The cab companies here can send a cab with wheelchair accomodation should you prefer to take a cab. A cab would be less stressful (I have looking for parking here in DC). Sorry I haven't eaten at the 4 you list but I've read good things about the first two.
I use www.washingtonian dot com as a quick place for restaurant reviews & descriptions--there you can see their ratings and phone numbers.
