Even though they share 9 our of 11 letters, you won't confuse this place with Pizzeria Uno. Granted, their food concept is mostly the same - lots of deep dish pizza, plus a menu page or two some random American food (chicken, pasta, sandwiches, burgers). However, Pizzeria SFO is basically a big room and isn't much to look at.

That’s okay though because their deep dish pizza is delish (and not nearly as greasy as I remember seeing at past visits to Pizzeria Uno). The boyfriend and I shared a medium veggie deep dish filled with mushrooms, onions, and green peppers, and still had two pieces left over. We really liked the chunky tomato sauce that covered it. It reminded me of Windy City Pizza in San Mateo, which is a good thing. It was so good I couldn't wait until I had it in leftover form two days later.

Our friends like this place because it's super kid friendly, and the people here don't care too much if your 3 year old gets stuck in a high chair and starts crying (which might have happened to our friends our last visit).

Finally along with Da Afghanan I have two reasons to eat in Fremont.

They also have a location in Jack London Square in Oakland, in a former Pizzeria Uno. I could have sworn that they took over the old Pizzeria Uno location on Lombard St., too.

The company is a former Uno franchisee. Their old SF Lombard St. location was taken over by Amici's.

I wonder if there's an Uno in SFO that got taken over first? It really surprised me several years ago when the Jack London Square one changed over to that name. Seemed like it would be "Pizzeria OAK" instead, since SFO is twice as far away...

The SF Pizzeria Uno was renamed Pizzeria SFO for a while before it closed.

I think the first Pizzeria SFO was the one on Lombard St. I remember a review in the SF Bay Guardian's Cheap Eats section at the time. I think.

The SF and Oakland Pizzeria Uno franchises changed their name to Pizzeria SFO at the same time.
