I love Chez Spencer. It's one of my favorite places.. the Wood Grilled Flat Iron Steak
Morels á la Crème, Truffle Butter I dream of and the wonderful 'Bouillabaisse' Soup. I was there not to recent about 7 months ago.

My friends/neighbors went a couple of weeks ago (they've been before) and said it was spectacular. I'm trying to get one of the to post about it.

I'll reply to myself here ... went for my birthday dinner and it absolutely blew us away. Frankly I am pretty hard to impress when it comes to restaurant experiences these days. I had the tasting menu ($120 with wine pairing) and my companion had a couple of supplemental dishes, and we shared everything.

Here's the link to the tasting menu http://www.chezspencer.net/tastingpag... we chose the scallops and the steak, and supplemented with the smoked duck breast, rack of lamb, and hazelnut dessert. Literally everything we had elicited amazement. These folks are celebrating 5 years of business and it shows - polished service, perfectly executed food, great modern space, even the extremely talented live jazz pianist.

I'm totally amazed I never checked this place out before. I will most definitely be back as soon as possible.

This is definitely an uphill report. My experience when they opened was over-priced, underperforming food and abrupt waitstaff, and there were several reports like that. Now I'm excited to check Chez Spencer out. They're patio is lovely, if/when the weather warms up again (september).
